When it comes to designing your own shower stall with a seat, there are several other materials you can use. If it is affordable, marble is a great choice for you. It is elegant, luxurious, and a perfect material to be used in the bathroom. Keep in mind that the seat should be a minimum of 18 inches high and 24-30 inches wide for a comfortable bathing experience. Anything lesser will make the whole process very uncomfortable. Even ready-made shower stalls with seats are usually available in these dimensions.
~ The entrance to your doorless shower must have a lip (at least 3-4 inches in height) to prevent the water from spilling out into what is called the dry area (the area with the wash basin and the WC). If the shower is to be used by a disabled person, then this detail can be eliminated simply by creating a slope in the flooring towards the drain, or a tile drop, so as to prevent the water from flowing outside.
If your bathroom already has a bathtub, it can be a major space occupying element. Those who don't mind replacing it, can just get it out of the bathroom and free up the space for adding a shower. Those who want to have their bathtub as it is, can opt for a shower enclosure.
